" Just the Way it Was"
-Preface-
I was always especially secretive about my workings. I really just wanted my talents to be perfected before I unvieled them- almost selfishly. I knew that putting in the extra love and care would inevitably hone the resulting edge. Experience taught me how my perfection was inevitably flawed.
People don't really speak in this sort of tone. At least not out loud. Maybe not in public. But why should self-analysis and retrospect be so untouchable?
I still have hidden talents. Awesome capabilities perhaps few have seen. Sometimes I wish I could pull back the curtain, and overwhelmingly present my precious gifts.
Maybe even feel the power go through me, and see everyone speechless. Just a reminder I'm looking for that moment. That moment of recognition. The one that speaks volumes without a sound.

To me that moment is worth a lifetime. You never know how long things will take. But, that's how much time they'll take.
My perfection was indeed flawed. I just didn't know it. Accepting a honed edge meant making unintended cuts. Often projects would outlast their interest, as I pondered if they were finished or not. I raced blindly through life, unable to see slices in supposed personal relationships, unaware of missed out chances and crumbling shells, from inside my cave.
Darkness goes wherever light cannot. It is their it hides from the awesome power of the truth. Sometimes to get things done you have to move in shadows.
Recent events in life have been like a bridge I had to cross. It was only fitting I may want to jump halfway. I realize that once I was halfway, I could see the other side. It was faith that had gotten me there. Faith would see me through.
